One related problem I would like to detail would be Fermi Estimate of Effective Lightning Traffic, like without doing channel probing, only observing both layers public data. I've no idea how far you can get there!

Thanks @ariard. There is one line that could use some deeper explanation.

I guess the name for these cross-layer links could be "Network layer links" since both layer-1 and layer-2 run on the internet protocol! Very good to include this point.

I guess the name for these cross-layer links could be "Network layer links" since both layer-1 and layer-2 run on the internet protocol! Very good to include this point.

Well even more subtle, a layer-2 can run on the layer-1 in case of counterparties non-interactivity ? I dubbed those cross-layer links as inter-layer mapping in the TDA mail post, but I'm fine with cross-layer links.

Note, I've already seen anonymous literature studying this phenomena about privacy leaks across Internet protocols, I'll try to find back references.
